We left our African home five months ago, and as our new destination was on the horizon, I tried to prepare my daughters for a slower, less stimulating pace of life that awaited. They told me they didn’t want to go to Australia. They wanted to stay in Malaysia.
My daughters suffered attention overload in India but Malaysia was friendly, yet not over the top.
How would we cope in our new home? (My old home). But there was no need of concern because children are adaptable. It’s the adults who find it harder and no one more than I did that first year back on home ground.
