Victoria’s surrounded by bays and inlets so I took a ferry around the inner harbour, past float homes. Not that exciting but close to shore a seal popped its head out of the water as we ferried towards the bay leading to Juan de Fuca Sound with Mt Olympus in U.S.A. in the distance.
Close to the sea, stood the B.C. parliament building; not impressive from the outside, but the inside was another story. Past the high dome, grand doors encompassed detailed scenes, larger windows likewise. There wasn’t a window anywhere in the building that I saw with plain glass. The structure was a stained glass lover’s paradise.
