Alberta’s Lake Louise

I compare Lake Louise to two locations in British Columbia, Stanley Park and Whistler. If you’re like me, and don’t appreciate driving round and round searching for a parking spot, then avoid these three locations.

While they are scenic, there are other less known places equally as beautiful, if not more so, where you won’t have to fight your way through traffic and crowds.

If I’d had my way after we left the Columbia Ice Fields, we would have bypassed the lake, but two of my daughters rave about Lake Louise, so there I was, going round and round until I found a parking stall.

    1. There were parking spots near the lake, but it was a matter of waiting for someone to leave so you could park – almost like being in the city.
