A few weeks back, we experienced winds of over one hundred kilometres an hour. From my window, seventy metre trees swayed. Branches sailed through the air. On a walk a couple of days later, I discovered large trees uprooted and leafy debris scattered everywhere. Many residence were without power for days.
This deluge reminded me of a similar windstorm a few years back. When I arrived at work after those winds, every staff member, like me, woke to the roar of the wind at three in the morning.

Some time later, I drove through Vancouver’s Stanley Park to witness the devastation. Let the photos speak for themselves.
So sad to see it. The power of nature..
