I flew north from Winnipeg over snow covered ground. We passed beside South Indian Lake as the sun set. Lights flickered near the Missi Falls before darkness set it.

After landing, the two other passengers plus the crew were greeted with a -35 degree night. I whipped out a second coat and a touque as soon as I got inside the airport building ready for when I stepped outside into the hotel bus. The driver took the road at a slow pace due to the icy conditions.
The day before, the temperature had dropped, Hudson Bay iced over, sending the polar bears out hunting.
Am feeling Christmassy !
