Can Tho was not your quiet little city. It was the biggest town in the Mekong Delta so consequently motorbikes were almost as prolific as HCMC.

I needed to get away from the noise and there was nothing better than a boat trip along the Can Tho River to the floating markets where we sampled, pineapple, mango and banana right off the farmers’ boats.

Next we swung into a side canal that made me realise that the delta was nothing but a series of canals and rivers that hatched across the southern part of Vietnam. We glided under bamboo walkways that precariously crossed the waterways and got lossed in a different world.

Nice photos.
