I decided to do nothing, so as I idled around Hoan Kiem Lake, I was stopped several times by people wanting to practise English.

A wedding party rolled by and it seemed everyone was out enjoying the slightly warmer day with a bit of sunshine peeping through. I found a bench at the bottom of the lake to people watch and soon another young girl arrived to ask if she could practise some English.

Two young guys loitered near by waiting for her to leave before they wanted to practise English too. We ended up talking for hours and I was impressed by their commitment to improve their already better English that I had heard spoken by any other Vietnamese. It was a great way to end my seven weeks in the country.
