The Botanic Gardens that opened in 1826 were loaded with towering trees from kapok to tamarind trees. But the tooth ache tree caught my attention because this Indian native had been used in Ayurveda medicine.

I zigzagged across the lanes and discovered it was better to look up. The grounds were covered with litter in spite of signs. Still, it wasn’t all the visitors’ fault because there were so few bins in the park, what did they expect?

There were many locals taking advantage of the peaceful setting and children riding the train around the perimeter of the gardens. This was a great place to hide out.
