Living in rainy Vancouver, I don’t often have an opportunity to witness a sunset. In Puducherry however, I stayed in a homestay with a rooftop and quaint shady nook where sunsets embellished the sky daily.
Crows squawked and swooped across the sky as I waited for the sun to set. One crow moved and before long, the rest flittered over to join it. Neighbours removed washing from clotheslines as I checked the sky. Another suspicious character climbed from one roof to another hauling an electrical wire to connect from his property to one three roofs away.
Then the sun sank below the horizon.
