Vancouver’s a multicultural city. In fact, one third of the population are Chinese, so it’s not surprising to discover days when different groups celebrate. It was the Italians’ turn this past weekend.
As I struggled through the crowds, I couldn’t help notice the number of t-shirts flaunting something Italian. One girl got it right. She said it was suppose to be Italian Day but it seemed every other culture was there as well, from the clothing stalls to the food.
With the warm afternoon and the ubiquitous smell of grilled meat, I decided I’d prefer The Drive on a quieter day.
