Situated along side Pitt Lake, the trail was more for bird watchers. I spotted a pair of swans and a heron but not much else because that wasn’t why I was on the trail.
Two bird watching towers sat on opposite sides of the marsh for enthusiasts. A photographer hunched in the grasses before a mating pair perched in their nest atop a wooden pole.
I was more interested in the lily pads, the dragonflies, the shimmering waters and the hills that surrounded the reserve.
