Pitt-Addison Close Up

Often I’m so engrossed in the larger than life surroundings — the giant trees; the mountains smothered in firs; an expanse of lake; that I overlook smaller pleasures.

I tried to capture the stunning blue dragon fly but it was too fast for me.

On a recent hike, I did notice the lily pads, and dragon flies whizzing across my path. At one stage I accidently bumped against dried lupine seed pots and jumped in fear. They sounded just like a rattle snake!

Dried lupine pods that had me jumping out of my skin!
