Further north into Golden Ears Provincial Park, an hour east of Vancouver, was Gold Creek. Its pristine waters flowed into Alouette Lake and beside the creek was a short one kilometre trail leading to an elongated expanse of fresh water.

Water surged over rocks and I found myself sidestepping the main trail to veer off on paths that led to the creek. Soon the creek changed from crystal clear into postcard perfect aqua-green.

You’re giving me many reasons to consider a trip to Canada! I love this one the best! 🙂
