Near the Nakiska ski run west of Calgary, was a labyrinth of trails. We were headed to Troll Falls and gazed at the only sign that didn’t have that helpful “You are here” arrow to make the map useful.

In spite of this, we headed along a trail with the help of our cell. Because the phone didn’t show trails, we had to back track when we’d gone past the falls. There was not one sign to indicate which way to go so between asking other hikers and heading in the direction of the sound of water, we reached the falls.

Alberta usually has well marked trails. This once seems to have fallen off the radar. My advice — don’t go without your GPS.
It looks amazing – I love waterfalls and North America is certainly blessed with the number of waterfalls around their state parks! Glad you make it and not getting lost..
