Located north of Vancouver on the Sea to Sky Highway, Britannia Beach isn’t the sort of beach you’d actually want to swim at. The place is all about the mine. I decided to explore the tiny site I’d often driven past.
I’ve been down in a goldmine in Ballarat, a coal mine in Wonthaggi and a copper-gold mine at Mt Morgan (all in Australia) so excuse me for not venturing into Britannia Beach Mines.
Old houses staff once occupied (and still might), lined a street. What interested me most, was the church that was converted into a Canada Post branch.
