A Taste of India Across the Sea

When I left India by ship from Mumbai, I cruised across the calm Arabian Sea to Mombasa on a week-long journey. Delighting in vegetarian curry on the trip, I thought it would be my last.img_0809

Little did I know that India had already penetrated East Africa, and I was able to savour even more aromas and tastes than I sampled in South India: pilau, biryani, crispy samosas and the list went on.
