The Great Ocean Road

The first time I wound my way along the two hundred and forty kilometres of this scenic drive, I was stunned by its beauty. So decades later on my return to Victoria, this was the first place I wanted to revisit.

We passed through the Otway Regional Park where red gum trees lined the narrow road until we finally arrived at the Twelve Apostles. Although this was the most photographed site in Victoria, it was only the beginning.

We fought our way into a parking spot, then through crowds from bus loads of tourists to squeeze our way in to take a peek at the famous stacks. This experience wasn’t how I remembered it!
