As I journeyed north from Waihi, there were stretches of road where the twists and turns seemed to never end. Beyond Tairua, the sharp corners were duplicated.
I took a break and caught the Alderman Islands hovering near the horizon from a high vantage point. Beyond was Kauri Grove Walk where, according to the sign, kiwis lived.
