Every year, one of my daughters who once lived in Vancouver, asks me about the cherry blossoms. On one visit, I drove her downtown just for a glimpse of these glorious trees.
Yet, here they are, close at hand, walking distance from my place. I wish their colourful plumage lasted longer. But if they did, I suppose we wouldn’t appreciate their vivid introduction to spring as much.
I know I’m not the only one. Every time I pass the trees on my exercise route, someone’s taking photos.
