It’s hard for me to wrap my head around any country celebrating its 150th year, yet that’s what Canada’s doing this 2017.
City Centre Park started out with a garden in the shape of O Canada and another with the numerals one hundred fifty. Now there are poppies, replicating the colours of our flag and it’s still only May.
So far, First Nation peoples have been silent on the matter.
