I decided to take the trail from Hahei Village to Cathedral Cove. In the heat of summer, the first ten minutes was a mainly up hill climb, but the view off shore made it worthwhile.

The entire trail was paved due, I’m sure, to the popularity of Cathedral Cove. The only part of the path where I didn’t come across anyone was from Haihei Beach to the carpark.

On route were not only ocean views, but also a World War I memorial forest.
