Creature of Singapore’s Botanic Gardens

I didn’t expect to spot anything beyond birds in the Botanic Gardens, but as I passed Eco Lake, there was something ominous swimming with its head above water — a lizard. Another dark outline swam closer. It was time to move on.


That wasn’t the end of lizards however. Somewhere near Burkill gate, I was about to take a path when another lizard about a metre long, sunned itself right across the walkway. I didn’t really want to see that part of the gardens anyway.
