This was an out of the way location over winding roads west of Vancouver Island’s Saanich. The best part about this easy walking trail was that it fringed Finlayson Arm so there was always a view of the water and the tree covered shoreline opposite.

We made our way down to the rocky shore through arbutus trees covering the region. Where the bark had peeled off, the distinctive red layer captured the unique feature of these trees.

Walking in the forest by the water, my version of paradise ❤
