Gowlland Todd Provincial Park’s McKenzie Bright Trail

This was a down hill hike all the way to the water’s edge. On the hot afternoon we hiked, the water was tempting and not it’s usual icy temperature. Unless your feet were tough, it meant a tricky walk over stones that continued out into the water.

Lush vegetation along the route

I spotted a seal bobbing its head in calm waters off from Finlayson Arm before I took a rest in the shade. I was not looking forward to the uphill return hike to the car in the heat even though it was only a kilometre.
