St Kilda Pier drew me like a magnet. The long jetty jutted out into Port Phillip Bay where a kiosk perched at the end.
Back in 1904, the kiosk building had originally been constructed as a pavilion. Unfortunately, in 2003 the building was destroyed by fire, but because it was such a popular landmark, it was rebuilt using the original drawings.

I didn’t have the chance to visit St Kilda when I was in Melbourne — well, technically I did have time, but I decided to explore other parts of the city instead. The view of the city looks amazing from the pier!

I stayed near St Kilda as I have a daughter who lives in Middle Park, so this was a walk I often took with her dogs.
