After I arrived at this Vancouver Island provincial park, I discovered a lazy way to get to the upper falls by the campground, but I headed off near the car park. I hiked uphill most of the way on this short hike with a view of the rushing Little Qualicum River along the way.
Once I crossed over the bridge, the force of the water rushing on its downward journey was a constant friend. I circled back on the opposite bank where there were few steps to the second bridge at the lower falls.
Surprisingly, there were not many people at this site, yet it was well worth a stop off.
Beautiful falls.
