With a change in weather from minus twenty to only minus four, North Glenmore Park was over run with hikers heading along Glenmore Reservoir. I stood for some time observing the usually sparkling stretch of water that was completely frozen.

Below were enthusiasts snowshoeing and cross country skiing, indenting their presence on the pristine snow that blanketed the frozen expanse. When I turned my attention away from the reservoir, I noticed a bend in the hiking trail ahead, and had to know what lay around that corner.
I love frozen rivers and lakes. It takes some courage to walk on frozen water. 🙂
