By a different Albert Park

I hoped to wander through Albert Park, but it was out of bounds while workers assembled grandstands for a buzzing weekend ahead. It was Melbourne’s Grande Prix.

Short busk walk by Albert Park, Melbourne

After the continued drone of race cars speeding around the track; helicopters hovering overhead; and a jet swooping over Middle Park with its engine roaring so loud the ground shook, I’m relieved the weekend has passed.

But the day I ventured near closed off Albert Park, I wandered through the bush land beside the tram tracks instead; a picturesque walk, but noisy with trams on one side and traffic on the other, but still the sounds paled in comparison to the Grande Prix weekend.
