Past the source of Harrison Hot Springs, was Sandy Cove Trail. Because it was the tail end of autumn, leaves covered the path making it difficult to find the way in some sections. Alder and broad leaf maple leaves were strewn up the slope of the rising path.
From a high point, Harrison Lake peeked through the trees. The choppy waves, sent a restful murmur up the slop while I plodded over the rocky path.
It was early morning and another one degree start to the day, but once I was surrounded by forest, I was protected from the icy wind off the lake.
