The treasury building marked the entrance into Brisbane’s city centre. It once housed state government workers. While I past the building on many a day, I never knew that offices skirted the outside of the structure, while the inner courtyard opened to the sky.
A few visits ago, I discovered the building transformed into a casino and while I wanted to take photos of some of the interior’s beautiful features, the security guards weren’t pleased.
The inner courtyard was covered with a ceiling of artificial stars. Underneath were crazed gamblers at most tables. I headed to the perimeter of the building as this was where the building’s original features were in tact.
