Kiyomizu-dera’s final garden

It was time to leave Kyoto’s Kiyomizu-dera. I followed the crowd as people strolled out of the hillside complex.

As a final bonus, there was another Japanese garden. With the usual pond and rocks with chiselled calligraphy, this was a delightful end to a fascinating site.

An eleven storied stone tower stood like a sentinel marking the end of my experience.
