I strolled the narrow streets and lanes by Kyoto’s Higashiyama Mountains amongst the crowd, surprised by the number of people, both men and women, in traditional dress.
Along the route were more shops and restaurants, but this time I lifted my gazed. Above the distractions of fans, kimonos, pottery and multiple souvenirs, were beautifully maintained traditional Japanese buildings.
Kyoto seems so lively, charming, and full of life. The Higashiyama Mountains seem like a place I’d love to explore!
