Located on Vancouver’s north shore, I followed this easy trail, keeping track of the direction I headed because there were no signs to direct walkers back to the exit.

No bikes were permitted, so hikers could relax, take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the serenity. Even though this sanctuary was located in North Vancouver, traffic noise only penetrated a small section of the trail.

Across the inlet was Burnaby. From the shore, the high pitched screech of seagulls carried across the water. When I returned to my car I couldn’t help shake my head; why had it taken me so long to visit this unique sanctuary?
Fascinating. I didn’t know it existed!
