I was ready to exit North Vancouver’s Maplewood Flats when the sound of an exquisite guitar player lured me into a building near the entrance to the bird sanctuary. The 25thanniversary photography exhibition was in progress when I stepped through the entrance of the Corrigan nature house.
At the entrance, I lucked out with a close up view of a barn owl, placidly eyeing photographers like me. Around the walls were large, framed photographs of birds spotted in the reserve. I heard one photographer explain how and when he captured (on film) his magnificent bird.
As well, a few artists were present, busy with their craft while some of their work was displayed on the walls too. This exhibition is on until the end of September.
