An exception to the trend

I wrote a post on disappearing post offices and how these buildings were transformed into fashion  or coffee shops. But heading along Brisbane’s Queen Street, I discovered an exception to the rule.

Tucked away a few blocks from Victoria Bridge, stood Brisbane’s General Post Office that still operated as a post office. Inside had been modernized so that it had lost the character of the original building, but the exterior was unchanged.
