Amidst shimmering highrise buildings and the constant hum of traffic sat a rectangular oasis of calm — Yeouido Park. I planned to avoid Seoul’s tourist meccas that fine morning and picked the perfect location.
Tree lined walkways were intermingled with colourful pagodas. Mini gardens were dotted around the park, one displaying low maintenance plants, another suggested the tired Seoul worker sit amongst the flowers to relieve stress.
I stopped for a gimbap from a store on the edge of the park, then continued exploring until I arrived back at my starting point.
