Tamsui’s Fisherman’s Wharf

About three kilometres from Fort San Domingo was Fisherman’s Wharf situated at the mouth of Tamsui River at the very north of Taiwan. This was an ideal spot to idle along pathways lining the water’s edge and eat an abundance of seafood on offer.

I crossed over Lover’s Bridge where photographers snapped in earnest and strolled by an array of shops designed to empty your pockets. But what caught my eye as I roamed up and back, was the ferry. On board, we headed out of the marina and down the river covering the distance I’d hiked in minutes, and arrived close to Tamsui MRT station.
