A hike by Cingshuei Cliffs

Near Shimizu Cliff Reef rocks, Hualien

I passed a long stretch of dark sandy beach hearing the Pacific’s waves crashed on shore. I reached Cingshuei Cliffs where the Liwu River cascaded down some 3000 metres into the sea. A long sandbank from Liwu River’s sand and gravel curved into the aqua waters.

View north from Chingshuei Cliff, Taroko National Park, Xiulin Township

This five kilometres of coast was Taiwan’s tallest coastal cliffs that were almost vertical and I left this view point heading into Taroko National Park.
