Not just in melbourne city centre

Across the street from the downtown NGV, there were hoards of tourists with their cell phones aimed at Hosier Lane’s street art. I boycotted the alleyway and headed to Fitzroy — a Melbourne suburb.

Little Napier Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne

It was a day to shop, but I discovered that street art had infiltrated the burbs as well as the downtown core. Off Gertrude Street in Little Napier Lane the entire side of a building was filled with images from Aboriginal art but sadly, someone had scribbled over part of the artwork.

George Street, Fitzroy

My favourite was on George Street, a quiet area where I never expected I’d see a design that stretched from the building’s corner right along the two sides that faced the streets.
