Most tourists strolled along this St Kilda street’s southern end after a Luna Park visit. Crowds dawdled by shop fronts, peered into restaurants or entered the many cake shops that enticed customers with their calorie-laden goods.

Crazy for birds exhibition

I was ready to exit North Vancouver’s Maplewood Flats when the sound of an exquisite guitar player lured me into a building near the entrance to the bird sanctuary. The 25^thanniversary photography exhibition was in progress when I stepped through the entrance of the Corrigan nature house.

A State Theatre treasure

One of my all time favourite Australian artists has always been Arthur Boyd. On a previous visit to Melbourne, there had been a special exhibition of his Bride Series at the Heide.

North of Victoria on Vancouver Island, was the relaxed town of Sidney. Situated right on the sea on the eastern side of the island, I couldn’t help notice some of the unique art that dotted the landscape.

John Olsen Exhibition

This well known artist had never been near the top of my most admired Australian artists, but after viewing his exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria, his work left a deep impression on me.
