The Crunch is a hiking trail that goes from the base of Westwood Plateau up to Coquitlam’s Eagle Ridge Drive. It’s only just over two kilometres one way, but the walkway rises 280 metres — the equivalent of walking up an 80-storey building.

Bears of Buntzen Lake
I took a bear bell with me while I hiked the Buntzen Lake Trail. While I’d prefer to listen to the forest sounds on a hike, the bell alerts bears that I’m around so they stay clear. They have as much desire to run into me as I have for them. Continue reading Bears of Buntzen Lake
