A JC Slaughter Falls hike

We were on our way to JC Slaughter Falls, but already unsure if we’d see any water tumbling over rocks because the East Ithaca Creek was only a puddle here and there. Still, we were hopeful of a hike through Brisbane’s Mt Cootha’s forest and we weren’t disappointed.

Anzac Square

Anzac (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Square included a park in the heart of Brisbane. Statues depicting the suffering soldiers endured lined the path where workers strode during their lunch break.

Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens

The Botanic Gardens are on the southern side of the Yarra River, before crossing into the heart of the city. In the distance, Melbourne’s highest buildings peek over the trees but the city is soon forgotten with paths weaving through giant trees.
