Prapat, and an island in the middle of a lake

We headed to Prapat in central Sumatra situated by Lake Toba. Because of the gruelling bus ride, we stayed overnight in this quiet lakeside town before catching an early morning ferry across to Samosir Island, situated in the middle of Lake Toba.

Tamsui’s Fisherman’s Wharf

About three kilometres from Fort San Domingo was Fisherman’s Wharf situated at the mouth of Tamsui River at the very north of Taiwan. This was an ideal spot to idle along pathways lining the water’s edge and eat an abundance of seafood on offer.
