Peggys Cove

Only forty-four kilometres from Halifax was a tiny fishing village famous for its rugged coastline and lighthouse. It was one of the most photographed sites in Canada. Although it was home to only forty permanent residents, some seven hundred thousand visitors came to Peggy’s Cove annually.

Department of Conservation Reserve

At the southern end of Pauanui Beach was South End Reserve. With a walking trail leading to Flat Rock and Cave Beach, it was hard to resist. Another trail lead over and around the reserve, but I decided to stick close to the sea. Continue reading Department of Conservation Reserve
