Vancouver Island’s Campbell River walkway was both a hiking and biking pathway following the coast where Quadra Island shimmered off shore.

I hiked near the rocky coast south of town to the end of the trail where wild flowers and grasses swayed with the sea breeze. Although Campbell River was a quaint town, it was summer tourist season while I was there, packed with people strolling by shops and restaurants.

Much better to be on this quiet stretch where few people strutted the trail.
Gorgeous!
